Old Hollywood Meets Modern Romance at Leah & Alexander’s Casa Loma Wedding
Some couples have a way of making elegance look effortless.
Leah Pfeiffer and Alexander Critelli are those people.
After years together, a Christmas 2024 proposal, travels through Portugal, and countless moments leading them here, the two were married on June 6, 2026, in one of Toronto’s most iconic settings: Casa Loma. It was a celebration that felt undeniably luxurious, but never for the sake of luxury itself. Instead, every decision reflected who they are: thoughtful, understated, stylish and completely smitten with one another.
You know those weddings where everything feels beautiful, but nothing feels forced?
This was one of them.
The ceremony unfolded beneath Casa Loma’s soaring glass atrium, where sunlight spilled across centuries-old stone walls and guests watched two people who looked genuinely thrilled to be marrying each other. There wasn’t a sense of performance. There was simply joy.
With Fleurisma Events Inc by Angie at the helm of the floral and decor design, the space was dressed in crisp white blooms, flickering candlelight and elegant gold accents that felt as though they’d always belonged there. The décor never competed with the castle. It simply invited everyone to notice it a little more. Accented with stationary from Blanche Heirloom, the combination was timelessly electric.
It was graceful. It was intentional. It felt completely effortless.
Leah’s fashion choices reflected that same philosophy.
For the ceremony, she wore a timeless Berta gown from White Toronto, one of Toronto’s premier bridal boutiques, celebrated for its carefully curated collection of international designers and exceptional one-on-one bridal experience. The gown felt refined, romantic and perfectly suited to both Leah and the grandeur of Casa Loma. Rather than wearing the dress, it felt as though the dress was made for her.

For the reception, Leah slipped into a stunning Milla Nova gown, also from Toujour Bridal. Alexander was every bit her equal.
Dressed in a custom Garrison Bespoke suit, and Christian Louboutin shoes he embodied modern sophistication, proving that impeccable tailoring never goes unnoticed. Standing beside Leah, the two looked less like they were posing for photographs and more like they’d simply wandered into a magazine cover.
Outside, a vintage Rolls-Royce from A Rolls Choice waited against Casa Loma’s historic stone walls, adding another layer of old-world charm to an already unforgettable day. Watching the two slip into the car together, it was impossible not to think that some love stories really do deserve a cinematic ending… or perhaps, in this case, a cinematic beginning.
Of course, every great wedding is remembered for how it makes people feel, and Caza Amato, their month of planner, left absolutely every person in attendance feeling celebrated, appreciated and loved.
Dinner in Casa Loma’s spectacular Library felt intimate despite its grandeur. Long white linen tables, glowing gold candelabras and candlelight dancing across crystal glassware created the kind of room guests instinctively paused to admire before finding their seats. It was elegant, yes, but also warm. The kind of dinner party you secretly never want to end.
The celebration unfolded exactly as you’d hope. Aerial entertainment by Dancing in Circles during their relaxing cocktail hour, the String Sisters serenading with a harp and cello during the ceremony, a string quartet during dinner, and of course DJ Floh Back mixing the sounds as guests danced all night long.
Guests gathered around a sparkling champagne tower by Bubbly Walls, indulged in delicious cake by Bobbette and Belle, laughed over late-night ice cream, and stepped in front of Portraits on White Toronto’s portrait experience, leaving with keepsakes that felt more like heirlooms than party favours.
Throughout it all, Purple Tree Photography quietly documented every fleeting moment. The laughter. The happy tears. The tiny glances exchanged across the room. The photos remind us that while beautiful details create a stunning wedding, it’s genuine connection that gives it heart.
Perhaps that’s what stayed with us most.
Not just how beautiful Leah and Alexander’s wedding was.
But how beautifully they wore it.
There was an ease between them that can’t be styled or planned. It comes from years of choosing one another, long before anyone walks down an aisle.
As Leah later wrote, it truly was “the day all my dreams came true.”
