While in the Western World, 13 might be considered an “unlucky number”, in Italy it holds a special kind of magic. Associated with the Great Goddess, fertility and the lunar cycles, the number is thought to bring prosperity and life — and that’s exactly what it did at this beautiful Tredici affair for Jacquelene and Vincent.

On Friday October 13th, Jacquelene and Vincent celebrated their 13 years of love with an elegant Italian wedding honouring each other, their journey, and their adorable cat who also happened to be celebrating it’s 13th birthday. To mark the special occasion, Jacquelene even bought Vincent his 13th bass guitar to add to his collection.

Hosted at Borgo Anitco, a vibrant eatery in Oakville, the tables were decorated with bottles of wine and individually handcrafted vases that the bride herself had made. With love sifting through the air, laughter radiating around the room, family and friends rejoiced over live music and delicious Italian cuisine.

Featuring so many little touches, such as hand picked herbs & flowers and Chinese lanterns from their parents backyard garden, the day was the perfect reflection of the bride and groom, their families, and those they loved. With musical elements throughout, the day was filled with touching nods to all sorts of sounds. Some examples of this were that the seating chart base was a sheet music stand and there were many musical instruments set up in the back of the venue to add supporting ambiance. The best musical note though came from a late night performance by the Groom and his siblings, who all frequently collaborated together. It was the perfect way to end a perfect day, and we could not be more thrilled for the couple.
