Tale as Old as Time: Old Hollywood Meets Homemade Glam

Tale as Old as Time: Old Hollywood Meets Homemade Glam

-

When Toronto wedding designer Melissa Williams and her fiancé Jesse got together for their e-shoot they knew they wanted something that reflected their sophisticated and creative vibes. With a passion for ‘Old Hollywood’ the groom really wanted to incorporate a mysterious and classic vibe while the bride was keen to showcase her unique eye for fashion and creative handcrafted skills.

Together, they managed to combine the visions to create a backyard moment of timeless elegance that felt as classic as it did modern.

Wanting to make the most of the opportunity, the bride, who is the owner and designer of Luxe Collection Bridal, decided to wear one of her own custom creations that she sustainably made from extra fabric she happened to have in her studio.

Designed with two styles in mind, the dress came complete with a detachable skirt that could be removed for dancing as the night went on. Featuring a cowl neck, a feather trim and peekaboo lace details, the dress was a fun modern take on an elegant classic and allowed her to express herself perfectly.

To complete the look, she added bows on her shoes to give it a little Jimmy Choo feel and tied the look together with pearls and a bespoke ring jacket that matched her Vera Wang sparkler.
